  • unable to connect via irc

    This is the message I am getting:

    * Looking up irc.campaignhqbbs.us
    * Connecting to campaignhqbbs.us (108.91.36.159:6667)
    * Connection failed (Connection refused)
    Cycling to next server in CampaignHQBBS...

    Also a message in the control window:

    12/29 12:30:28p QNET No new messages.
    12/29 12:30:28p QNET Call-out: PANDAICE
    12/29 12:30:34p QNET FTP Session with gamenet.synchronetbbs.org failed: Error: Login failed: 530 Invalid login.
    12/29 12:30:34p QNET Call-out to: PANDAICE returned 1

    I thought this one was because I was using the wrong name. Well, if I was it is happening on all names. I am nearly getting to installing FTN for mail and skipping QWK.

    You're trying to login with the wrong username or password.

    that irc server is not connectable on that port.

    Looks like a firewall issue or port mapping if the ircd is, in fact,
    listening on port 6667. OP never posted anything to show that it was.

    Looks like a firewall issue or port mapping if the ircd is, in fact, listening on port 6667. OP never posted anything to show that it was.
