• Possible file upload bug?

From Deepthaw@VERT to All on Fri Sep 15 10:11:03 2023
I was making the rounds uploading a file to "teh scene" today (go look for traxtor.zip, it's a neat DOS puzzle game made for a 2023 comp) and over on Pharcyde I hopped to the file listing to see if the file_id displayed properly and it caused a disconnect.

Since I'm no longer a sysop I have no idea where the bug could be - the bbs or the software, but thought I'd share it here.

Looks like the sysop needs to update their text.dat file. Some of the text.dat strings were re-used for other purposes in SBBS v3.19 and I see that's at least causing that garbage-looking output, and likely the crash.

That's precisely why I keep my text.dat stock and change my strings via JS in login/logon.

i just have a script that recolors and reconfigures via text search.
