We should get Duke Nukem 3D on this list too...
I seen NukemNet out there. Not sure how well it works...
It would be hard on the server host to change or host all the different games on different softwares. However, yea- Duke 3D is pretty awesome.
Something to consider. Quake is a good one too!
Anyways, had a great time playing Doom. Had to jump off...
Until next time.
St0ked that you joined tonight!! Wasn't that a cool meetup!?!?!? Super
fun times and I'm so happy that I'm a part of it.
There's MANY others involved, but I'm happy to be involved, too. YEA! Another killer DOOM meetup - in 2024. We won't let this ish die!

Let's also look into NukemNet and what we can do there. Problem appears that everyone needs to join the lobby before starting the game.
You need the following and NetDuke32 comes with a ton of maps!
NukemNet
NetDuke32
Duke32.grp (Atomic Edition) - Placed in NetDuke32 directroy
Duke.rts (Automic Edition) - Placed in NetDuke32 directroy
Same here - 6pm local time saturday night, and I was cooking for a
dinner party. I'm glad Paulie keeps the server going during the week,
everyone should jump in if they see someone on it.
I've seen the posts about these Doom meetups, and some time I might
join. It sounds fun. I used to like to lpay a lot of DOS games back in the day, and then played them on the internet via Kali for a while.

Its been a very successful 'bbs meetup' for the past 4 months - I think
we have infrastructure to continue, so no rush - but do come join us
when you can!!!

We've been talking about Duke3D on 2oFB - you should come by and drop
your knowledge; I am very happy to have a great community of folks that WANT to create new meetups with all sorts of retro games and servers - come by and get in the discussion!!

Cool, Doom meetup! I've been off BBS's for a while, but I'll be keen on jumping in on this. I do consider myself pretty good at this game.

We hope you'll come joing us on 6/1/2024 - you can find infoz @ 2oFB BBS in the DOOM Menu; 20ForBeers.com:1337, but its fairly easy... just make sure you have Zandronum [current day DOOM client] and Doomseeker
[current day netplay server client] installed. doom2.wad in the
Zandronum .config folder, and search on Doomseeker for "20 FOR BEERS".
We have a great time w/ around 25 players each month.. 6 active players
at a time - last month there were some non-BBS players that came in, so
we need m0re BBS r0ckstars....
I hope to see you on June 1st, borax!
I'll try to join. I have a meeting during the day, but I
may be able to. Depends on the time difference, I'm in
Australia so I'll have to make sure I take into account
the time difference!
I used to play with friends, in person. They'd come
bring their machines and we'd rock on with 3 or 4 players.
