I just got over a case of food poisoning -- spent the past two days laid up, but lost 6 pounds. The first cup of coffee since Tuesday tastes pretty good.
The one good thing to come out of this is discovering high-end ginger ale - makes the Schweppes stuff taste like diet pepsi that's gone past the pull date.

I tried Scweppes ginger ale once, and I thought it tasted similar to Canada Dry (which I like). I've also had Vernor's, which has a pretty good flavor, though I think Vernor's has more sugar and calories. What was the high-end ginger ale you discovered?

Fever Tree - they make a ginger beer and ale.

Their tonic is the best too! I used to love fever tree and beefeater
when I drank. It was always my "special occasion" drink.
I like their tonic, too - when I was young and wanted to look like I
was drinking at bars when I was driving, I'd order a tonic and lime.
I attribute my gin and tonic consumption for my not getting malaria in
my 20s. :)
