A photo caught my eye on mastodon this morning:

    https://social.jcs.org/@jcs/112553371636553582

A Macintosh Plus (? i think) running a BBS in waiting for caller mode. I looked closer and saw log entries for tossing mail from fsxNet - one of us! :)

Kludge BBS (21:3/177) run by joshua stein. I noticed this great blog post about the BBS also:

Very fun website too - I recommend leaving the page open and idle for a while.

Joshua (JCS) has done amazing things for the classic Macintosh.
I'm also running his amazing BBS software (Subtext) on my Mac here and
it's been a fun ride to have a BBS running on some older hardware like that
but also to get connected to FSX and enjoy the global comms with
    everyone here.

If you have an older Mac sitting around and want a fun project - he's got
a bunch of them available on his site.

Wait, the klud.ge software is out there to run?

I remember the first klud.ge that was completely programmed by JCS - and now he runs on actual mac hardware w/ different bbs software; I think he might have wrote it, too - but I love the klud.ge bbs.
