    Good Boxing day morning,

    Repeatable crash on 0.51

    Search for anything in the message areas. ie; I've been trying to search
    for sixel as I can't find how to display one from an ANSI file.
    Everytime I search the BBS hangs up on me. Nothing in the log except
    for the begin search line.

    Thanks, I'll check it out tomorrow. I wonder what I did to break that lol.

    The command is @SIXEL:/path/to/image.sixel@

    Repeatable crash on 0.51

    Found the bug. I terminating a string with '0' instead of '\0' oops.

    I've released v0.52 with this fix (and the dupe checking for falcon)

    Updated with thanks! It was sure a hassle this time around, windows it convinced Talisman .52 is a SEVERE virus. LOL

    I guess if it deletes my BBS I'll know what happened. hahahah

    was it WACATAC or something like that? I always seem to trigger that one lol. I really wish there was a way I could avoid that. I think the only way is either getting a certificate from microsoft, or reputation based, neither of which I can really do.

    I guess if it deletes my BBS I'll know what happened. hahahah

    haha, yeah, windows might think your BBS is a virus... /shakes fist at windows

    Hmm, the fix didn't seem to fix your problem. It still crashes when
    searching through the "BBS Promotion" fidonet message area on your bbs.

    Would it be possible to grab a copy of that squish base?

    I think so yeah.

    only way is either getting a certificate from microsoft, or reputation based, neither of which I can really do.

    Normally when I download it I just have to say "Keep" this time windows
    kept deleting the installer. I had to go into the AV undelete the setup
    file, disable AV, install then re-enable. Not a huge deal.

    haha, yeah, windows might think your BBS is a virus... /shakes fist at windows

    Why did I stop running the *nix box again? lol

    Thanks for sending me the base, I was able to get it to crash here so managed to fix it fairly quickly. Something was weird about that message base, one message wasn't loading - maybe it was deleted or something, but i wasn't checking for a failure in loading the message.

    Anyway fixed now - I bumped the version and uploaded it. Hopefully you don't have to fight your virus scanner this time, but.. I'm not optimistic lol.

    Laugh. I did put a cheezy horrible picture of my wife and I in a
    bulletin. ;)

    Well that's a mystery. I am starting to wonder if MS virus scanner is really a virus scanner and not a random file deleting program.

    I miss the days of OS/2 or windows XP without a virus scanner. I used to
    live dangerous.
